Transcript: How to fold and put a flat cloth nappy on three month old 8kg baby.

Hi, it’s Vashti from Nest Nappies and today I’m here with baby Rory who is three months old and just over eight kilos. We haven’t seen Rory in a couple of months, but I wanted to bring you back in and show how he’s changed shape and how the nappies that you were using before can still work even though he is such a chunky, cute boy. Yes, and he’s very chatty. First up, we’re going to do a flat. So your stock standard flats, they’re all around about the 60 by 60 centimetres. Lots and lots of different ways to fold them. And if you’re having any issues, head back and have a look at one of our other videos that we’ve done. But today I’m just going to do the Jo fold or the pre fold and it’s just basically where you bring all your corners into the centre and if Rory’s feet would stay still… You need to stay still. You do. But you’re just going to make a smaller square with the nappy and then you’re going to fold it in three to make our pad.

So just like that, we’re going to then angel wing out the bottom, so it just gives us a little bit of room to bring that round his hips. And then we’re going to pop that underneath his waist and bring this pad up in middle, and then just bring those wings over the side there. Do it with a snappy, so just from one hip over to the other hip and then down into the groin. And then that’s it. As you can see, you’ve got a nice snug fit around the back of the legs there and on the other side, so it’s going to hold everything in and you’ve got lots of absorbency through the wet side and where he’s going to need it. How does that feel? Does that feel good? He’s very chatty this morning. So that is there Joe fold or the pre fold with our terry flat on baby Rory, who is three months old and eight kilos. Thanks for visiting us at Nest and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Bye.
