Description

This is the perfect product to help protect your Disana’s Woollen Overpants as well as all your other woollen items!

Disana’s Lanolin Care Treatment is a liquid treatment.  Due to this, it dissolves quickly and easily in warm water. Once dissolved, it can get to each fibre and cover it.

Lanolising is a very important part of your woollen articles’ self-cleaning power.  A regular treatment can help keep your woollens clean and fresh.  Simply air after use and wash when soiled or smelly.  We recommend washing your wool covers every two – three weeks.

Lanolin is the natural wax in sheep’s wool. This wax will envelope the wool fibres and therefore, protects them from any harsh environments. The woollen products in the Disana line already contain plenty of natural lanolin.  This helps to protect them and will also care for the wool fibres, meaning less work for you.

With regular use and wash routines, this protective coating will be reduced. Lanolin is especially important in woollen covers over a nappy.  The Lanolin within the wool, helps to provide a water resistant barrier in the cover.  Other woollen products, too, can lose the natural wax in the wool from washing or drying.  This is why the wool fibres need to be replenished with a lanolising treatment every now and then.

The best way to do so is with a Lanolin treatment. The Diana treatment is in a liquid form and, as such, it dissolves very easily in lukewarm water. After washing, place your woollen product in a container with the treatment. The wool fibres absorb the lanolin again which protects your woolies against dirt and they become more water repellent.

Protect all your winter woollies against stain.

Keep them water resistant.

Extend the life of your woollens.

Instructions on the bottle:

Application:

Shake well before use.  You can stand the bottle in hot water to melt and disperse if cold or separating.

Lanolising woollen overpants:

Wash woollen overpants with Disana Wool Shampoo or treatment of your choice. Dissolve 2 tablespoons of lanolin care treatment in 1 litre of lukewarm water. Place the woollen overpants (inside out) in the solution and squeeze gently. This helps the treatment seep into the core of the fibre.  Leave your woolies in the solution for a short period and then remove. Gently squeeze out excess lanolin solution and press in a towel to remove excess moisture. Leave to dry in a shady spot. Do not place your woollies in direct sun or on the heater.  There is no need to use extra lanolin on new woollen overpants from Disana.  Your Disana Woollen Overpants already been pretreated during production.  We do recommend an initial wash before use to remove manufacturers residue.

Lanolising woollen clothing:

Dissolve 1 teaspoon of lanolin conditioner in 1 litre of lukewarm water.  Continue as with the treatment for woollen over pants.  Alternatively, the solution can also be sprayed onto the clothing.

Our tip – we love using our Strucket when it’s time to lanolise!  The strainer helps keep our woolies nice and flat.  Thi reduces any chance of the fibres being stretched out of shape in your woollies.
