Hevea coloured pacifier collection is the first in the world that is both 100% plastic free and colourful. Completely plant based, made out of 100% natural rubber and FDA approved natural colour pigments.

The pacifier has a silky smooth touch.  This makes it gentle on your baby’s face and teeth, but still resistant to bites.

Historically, HEVEA began as a question that needed an answer: how to take care of our children and our planet just a little bit better. That makes everything quite simple for us: we were born of an urge to do better. To show that how we act and live in the world makes a difference to ourselves, and our children – the citizens of tomorrow. The lack of natural options for our future generations and the choices we have to make was what made us turn to Hevea Brasiliensis – natural rubber.  This has formed the basis of our mission and our purpose from the very beginning.

Hevea, or natural rubber, can replace many kinds of plastic. Hevea decomposes naturally and can be reused to make new products. The wood of the tree itself and the rubber are our only self-imposed limitations when it comes to designing and developing new products. However, this hardly feels limiting as we are still getting to know these materials better and better. In all our curiosity, we keep firmly in contact with our roots and our reason for being here.  That being, to give you the option of creating a fingerprint that is slightly better than the one we inherited.

Geographically, our mix is unique. While the hevea trees grow mainly in Southeast Asia, and much of our production requires skills and facilities found close to the plantations where the hevea is harvested, our design philosophy is inherently Danish. Unifying the beautiful design with clear functionality is the core of the renowned Danish design tradition.  Hevea stick to this in discovering and developing all that their cherished hevea can offer.

HEVEA

The company name Hevea is from the Latin name for the rubber tree, Hevea Brasiliensis. The natural rubber it produces is the foundation of their product range. Using natural rubber, rather than synthetic rubber made from oil, acts against climate change.  They do this by increasing the number of trees and cutting back on the use of fossil fuels.

SUSTAINABILITY

Hevea truly want to be sustainable and strive to do their best to be a responsible company, through all of their business practices. They face many challenges, some very difficult, but they continue to look for innovative ways to overcome any challenges to reduce, re-use, re-cycle and up-cycle where possible.
